The 'Time to Read' programme launched in our school library on Wednesday morning. Our reading buddies from Teneo and Rachel from Business in the Community visited our school to get the programme underway. The volunteers introduced themselves to the children and told them a fun fact about themselves. Then the children were assigned their buddies and completed a worksheet to find out more about their partner and drew pictures of them. We then all enjoyed juice and a treat together. Next Wednesday the paired reading will begin with a selection of books kindly provided by Time to Read. We are looking forward to reading a variety of genres, going to the library together and visiting where our volunteers work!
