Ms Archer's 3rd class put on a super assembly for their parents on Friday morning. They talked about some of the topics which they have been exploring this term most notably, Ancient Egypt. They made replicas of Tutankhamun's death mask in their art class. They danced like Egyptians to the song "Walk like an Egyptian". They have been learning the Irish sign language called "Lámh" and they signed the song, "Santa Claus is coming to town". They also painted lovely Christmas trees. To end their wonderful assembly they sang a very popular Christmas song called "Santa, you are much too fat". All the parents were then invited to the Junior block for refreshments and breakfast. A big thank you to Ms Downes (as usual) for organising such a lovely breakfast for parents and children alike. A big thank you to Ms Archer and Shaunna for preparing the children for such a wonderful assembly. Well done 3rd class! You were brilliant!
