For the past few weeks Ms Mc Teague's class has been enjoying the Junior Achievement module based on "Our City" under the wonderful guidance of Gavin. Junior Achievement Ireland (JAI) is a member of one of the world’s largest educational non-profits, helping prepare young people for their futures by delivering hands-on, experiential learning in entrepreneurship, employability, financial literacy and the value of STEM.
3rd class have been studying all about city life. They learned that a city is a place where a lot of people live, work, play, and go to school. Supported by Core, the programme guided the students to construct paper buildings, map out a city, plan their own restaurant business, create an advertising campaign and examine why banks are important.
Gavin was a fantastic facilitator and the children really enjoyed this very educational programme. Today they completed the course and were very excited to receive their certificates.
