The 2nds, 3rds and 4ths had a great day of athletics in Tallaght Stadium today. The children took part in many events, which they were trained in by Val during the year: the 60m sprint; the turbo javelin; the long jump; the high jump and the nerf - vortex throwing missile. The 900 children who were present in the stadium all took part in a one-mile lap of the track at the end of the activities. Frank Greally joined them for the final lap of the stadium, editor of "Irish Runner" magazine at Athletics Ireland.
