Recently the two 4th classes went on an Autumn trail to Ballawley Park. They found oak, sycamore, horsechestnut, mountain ash and beech trees. They gathered conkers, acorns, beech nuts, seeds from the ash tree, pine cones and helicopter wings from the sycamore tree to display back in their classroom. They got to enjoy the taste of the last remaining blackberries of the season. While there, they also learned to differentiate between deciduous and evergreen trees. No visit to Ballawley park is complete without a visit to the playground! A lovely afternoon was had by all.
