3rd class visit Antarctica to study Emperor Penguins

Ms Archer's 3rd class have been learning lots of interesting facts on the stunning emperor penguins from the Antarctica:

  • Emperors can swim underwater for up to 22 minutes.
  • A group of penguins in the water is called a raft.
  • Penguins face a long, slow walk inland across the ice to the colony. ...
  • They can live up to 50 years in captivity.
  • They're the deepest diving birds; one was recorded diving 565m deep!
  • They can grow to a height of 1m15cm.
  • They love to toboggan on their tummies!

Now take a look at their lovely Antarctica art work!
