After last year's success, we are lucky to continue our relationship with Teneo for the 'Time to Read' programme again this school year. We launched the programme in our school library on Tuesday morning. Our new reading buddies from Teneo and Rachel from Business in the Community visited our school to get the programme underway. The volunteers introduced themselves to the lucky children from Ms Quinn's 2nd class and told them fun facts about themselves. Then the children were assigned their reading buddies and completed a worksheet to find out more about their partner and drew pictures of them. There was lots of chatter in the library as we all got to know each other. Next Tuesday morning the paired reading will begin with a selection of books kindly provided by Time to Read. We are looking forward to reading a variety of genres, going to the library together and visiting the Teneo offices where our volunteers work!
