Congratulations to the boys and girls from Ms Quinn's 1st class on presenting a wonderful assembly to their parents and the rest of the school. The children talked about all what they learned in class so far this term. They are studying space and the planets and they showed off their beautiful rocket art. They enjoyed showing off their self-love positive affirmations and talked to us about the importance of Friendship as part of the SPHE curriculum. They spoke about the school being like a family and thus said their "Cairde" poem as Gaeilge. They also sang the song "You can count on me". As Earth Day is approaching, they talked about how they love and care for the earth. This class is part of the picker pals community. They ended the assembly with the Earth Day song and poem. The parents joined the class for a lovely breakfast afterwards in the junior block prepared by Ms Downes. Well done, 1st class! You were brilliant!
