Halloween Parade Children Monster Costume Walking Stock ...

Everyone had a great day of ghoulish fun and frightful delights as we celebrated Halloween on the Friday before the Halloween break. The children (and their dedicated parents!) made a huge effort with their colourful, scary, creepy, spooktacular costumes. Some classes were very creative in carving pumpkins while other classes made delicious Halloween spells using many weird and vile ingredients! Pupils in the Nurture room were baking lots of Halloween treats all week under the guidance of Ms Pigott. All the children got to taste our traditional báirín breacs with many children delighted to find the ring! We had our annual Halloween concert in the hall in the afternoon with children reciting haunting, spooky poems (as Gaeilge and English) and singing wonderful songs. This year we had an amazing parade where the children got to show off their cool costumes as they followed weird and wacky Halloween creatures that hung from each of our walkway stops which was organised by Ms McAdam. We even had a visit from a life-sized T-Rex! And how lucky were we as the sun shone brightly all day. A great, grisly day of fun to start the midterm holiday!
