Time to Read
On the 2nd of March 2023 the teachers and children at Queen of Angels were so excited to invite volunteers from our local business TENEO into our school.
Three volunteers Aisling, Áine and Lara kindly took time out of their busy schedules to come to our school and spend time reading with some boys and girls from our second classes.
This initiative ‘Time to Read’ which is run each year in our school is created by the Business in the Community (BITCI) programme where local business’ collaborate with schools and other organisations in Ireland to support the Government’s overall strategy on educational inclusion.
Clodagh Swords (BITCI) and Bindu Kumari (TENEO) worked together to organise this amazing opportunity for our school children.
Children from Mr. Connaire’s and Ms. Butler’s second classes enjoyed reading with their partners and enjoying reading the beautiful books which were very kindly donated to our school from this special programme.
