Ms Hannigan's Friday Breakfast Assembly

Ms Hannigan and the boys and girls in 2nd class took part in the first Friday Breakfast assembly in the hall. Unfortunately, this year, the parents were unable to attend so the assembly was recorded and posted on their class Seesaw. It was very clear from their performance that they have been working so incredibly hard since September. They recited beautiful poems on "Winter" and "Autumn Leaves". They painted beautiful winter trees and very cool, silvery snowflakes. Michael reminded us how we are all different but very special. They showed us their very colourful self-portraits. The children continued to inspire and enlighten us as they talked about space, Neil Armstrong and the planets and each pupil made their very own Solar System. They also made a sunflower collage, the planet Earth and a picture of the Moon. The poem called "The Astronaut" was a great choice. They recited lots of poems as Gaeilge- bhí siad go hiontach!

After their assembly they returned to the senior block for a breakfast of scones, croissants, fruit and juice!

Ms Hannigan's class can be so incredibly proud of themselves. Their assembly was both extremely educational and highly entertaining!
