A very special visitor came to our school today to help celebrate World Book Day
Meet Alesha Weir!
Today we welcomed a very special visitor to Queen of Angels. Alisha Weir who
plays the character of Matilda in ‘Matilda the Musical’ came to our school
assembly. She answered questions devised by our pupils. The children loved
finding out about what life was like on the set, how long she spent in the U.K.,
who her favourite person to hang out with was, her favourite song from the
movie, how she learned all the words she had to say in the film and much more.
Alisha was a wonderful example to our students of how with hard work and
determination they can be whoever they want to be. She herself was only in
primary school when the movie was made. We wish her every success for the
bright future she has ahead!
