On Wednesday 21st of October, our 5th class students received a visit from our local community Gardaí. Garda Ivan and Garda Linda spoke to the students about the dangers associated with bonfires and fireworks. They showed a video showing what can happen when children play with fireworks. The Gardaí also spoke to the children about what they should do if they see something dangerous during the Halloween break. After the talk, the children made safety posters to highlight the dangers of fireworks and bonfires. The boys and girls made a really great effort with their wonderful posters!
