Seachtain na Gaeilge
Seachtain na Gaeilge took place from Tuesday, 10th until Thursday, 12th March this year in Queen of Angels. There were lots of activities going on throughout the week. Every class provided beautiful art work with a Gaeilge theme which was displayed in the hall . Events such as An Tóraíocht Taisce ( Treasure Hunt) and An Tráth na gCeist ( Table Quiz) provided great entertainment for the pupils. Every class came to the hall for some céilí dancing ar an gCéadaoin with the support of dance teachers, Lauren and Ciara. Ar an Deardaoin we had our annual “Lá Glas” where everyone came dressed in the colours of our National Flag! To kick start this Lá Speisialta , every class gathered in the school yard and we had our very own Paráid Naomh Pádraig . The children played the bodhráns, flew flags, shook shamrocks and banged drums as we marched around the grounds of the school. Following the parade we had our Seó mór where each class got to show case their talents through song, dance, recitals and dramas in our wonderful native language. Bhí seachtain thar bharr ar fad againn!
