Butter-making in Ms O'Higgin's and Ms Byrne's/Ms Butler's First Classes
The two first classes made butter using cream and salt. They shook the cream with a pinch of salt in an air tight jar for nearly 10 minutes. They all took turns shaking the jar! Finally the buttermilk separated from the yummy yellow butter. Next they spread it onto crackers and sampled their homemade butter! The children loved the finished product!
