6th Class trip to Airfield
The 6th class students in QOA had a fantastic first term. They have been busy learning and taking on all the responsibilities as the most senior students in the school. We also have some inspiring musicians, as we are learning to play guitar every Wednesday morning. We were very lucky to be invited to attend Airfield Estate to attend a workshop. During this workshop, we learned about gut health, particularly that of pigs. We learned about the similar digestive systems of humans and pigs and the role of mushrooms in supporting gut health. Science advancements have supported the different ways of incorporating these good bacteria into pigs’ food. It gave us a new appreciation for fungus and was a fantastic learning experience. Before we returned to school we got to appreciate the beautiful surroundings of Airfield.
