Congratulations to the boys and girls from Ms Pigott's 4th class on presenting a wonderful assembly to their parents and the rest of the school. The children talked about the Amazon Rainforest. They showed their amazing art work based on the Rainforest: painted toucans, poison dart frogs and their very cool 'Rainforest in a Box'. They recited the poem 'A Trillion Tropical Leaves' all about how we are endangering our rainforests through deforestation. They sang ' Is mise fear an Cheoil' which was great fun! They also talked about all the activities they did during Friendship Week (Compliment Circle, Walkway Challenges and the Friendship Quote Trail). They showed their Friendship Quote posters and acrostic poems. They ended their assembly with the song about friendship, "Count on me". The parents joined the class for a lovely breakfast afterwards in the senior block prepared by Ms Downes. Well done, Ms Pigott's Class on a fabulous breakfast assembly! You were brilliant!
