Congratulations to the boys and girls from Mr Price's 3rd class on presenting a wonderful assembly to their parents and the rest of the school. They spoke about volcanoes, Iceland (Using the heat from volcanoes to generate electricity), glaciers, earthquakes and mountain ranges. For their artwork they painted volcanoes, drew glaciers with chalk and made mountain ranges with torn paper. They also made black and white wavy lines to represent the waves of an earthquake. Continuing with the volcano theme, the children sang the song “Lava” from Disney. They also recited a poem about everything they had learned. They finished with the Irish song “Ar Scáth a Chéile”. Well done to the talented céilí dancers who danced to the song. The parents joined the class for a lovely breakfast afterwards in the junior block prepared by Ms Downes. Well done, Mr Price's Class on a wonderful breakfast assembly! You were brilliant!
