This year the Parents’ Association are starting a new tradition in Queen of Angels called Bronntanas Rúnda, which means "Secret Present’ as gaeilge / in Irish. Eva and her team are going to transform the School Halla into a Winter Wonderland complete with a Gift Shop for all the children for one morning only on the 16th December. Each child will be invited to purchase a gift for two special adults in their lives to say 'thank you’ for all that they do for them.
Each gift will be €2.50 only (max to be paid by a family will be €5) and the gifts will be wrapped up by the team of parents volunteering in the Winter Wonderland Gift Shop!
For this magical event to be a success, they are kindly asking for donations of unused gifts you wish to regift* ,and/or small items you may wish to purchase for the event are also greatly appreciated.
*Suggested items include chocolate, sweets, novelty socks/ties, golf balls, gift sets, decorations, candles, photo frames, costume jewellery, hats/scarves, books.
In exchange for each item donated to the Bronntanas Rúnda, your child will receive a Ticéad Draíochta (Magic Ticket) for the Bumper Prize Draw that will be held before the Christmas break. We have some great prizes lined up!
Donations will be accepted from Monday 1st December. Students can bring the donations into school and will be able to drop them to our special donation point, and recieve their Ticéad Draíochta in return. Here are the children from 1st class posting their Ticéad Draíochta.
