Our school was filled with energy and excitement as we welcomed African drumming specialist Neil Dowling for a one-day musical workshop. Pupils from Junior Infants to 6th Class had the opportunity to explore African rhythms, learn new musical terminology, and experience the joy of performing together.
Neil’s workshop was highly inclusive, engaging learners of all ages and abilities. The children were introduced to exciting new rhythms and even had the chance to try group polyrhythm performances, creating vibrant layers of sound as a team.
It was truly a new and memorable musical experience,enjoyed by all!
