In class, the children explored the poem The Sound Collector. Inspired by its creative theme, they wrote their own poems imagining which sounds the Sound Collector might take from their lives :
"The Stranger called to Qoa,
Dressed all in black and grey,
Put every sound into a bag and carried them away"
They also produced fantastic drawings using oil and chalk pastels of what they thought the Sound Collector might look like — their imaginations really shone through!
