We engage with St Olaf's GAA club who train our junior classes. We have a fabulous yoga teacher, Sue, who has provided wonderful lessons with the 5th and 6th classes. Cycle Right have been teaching 5th class cycling safety and skills. We have recently reconnected with Rugby Ireland who are visiting during Active Schools Week. Chris, from the SAY Project, does soccer skills with 5-6 children from 5th class once a week. Happy Joe, our creative dance teacher, has visited us this year for lots of sessions also. Garry, in conjunction with the FAI, provided a 9 week Intercultural Football Accademy with the pupils from 3rd,4th and 5th classes. Garry is also an SNA in our school. Wendy, our fabulous S.N.A, teaches gymnastics both during school and as part of Aftershools Club. Peter Durrad, an ex St Pats Athletic player, lends his expertise and skills to many pupils in the senior classes in many strands of the PE curriculum. Ms McAdam also trains pupils from 3rd to 6th class in all areas of athletics in preparation for Santry. The very popular Santry Athletics Competition has reopened for participating schools this year following a few years of cancellations due to Covid. We look forward to bringing our 5th and 6th classes there this year!
