5th classes opened a new musical area in Shanganagh Park. Both Mr Dermody's and Ms Martin's 5th class were selected out of all the schools in Dun Laoghaire Rathdown catchment area to perform at the opening. Both 5th classes had to compose a piece using percussion instruments. Councillor Lettie McCarthy was in attendance to represent Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County Council. The performance was led by our resident musicican from Music Generation, Sebastian. He has been busy working with our 4th and 5th classes for this academic year. We were thrilled to see we made the Evening Herald later on in the day.
