GOAL Jersey Day
We supported GOAL Jersey Day last Friday, 30th September. All the staff and pupils came dressed in their favourite jerseys to support GOAL's work with vulnerable communities around the world. The children were able to learn in greater detail what GOAL does for these communities. GOAL's Emergency Response function focuses on saving lives and alleviating human suffering. This response often involves prioritising needs such as food, water, shelter, cash and other non-food items. Their targeted health response includes hygiene promotion, disease surveillance, immunisation campaigns, outbreak response and primary healthcare services. Well done to all the boys, girls and their families for willingly supporting such a great cause and raising a whopping €400! We hope that the money raised goes a little towards these wonderful initiatives.
